We Finally Know The Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Release Date

As mentioned above, one of the major gameplay changes introduced in “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Pokémon Violet” is the fact that for the first time in the history of the franchise, the games will feature something akin to proper multiplayer. Aside from the regular trading and battling that the previous games already allowed, players will now be able to adventure alongside up to four friends as they explore the new region. Not many details on this have been shared yet, but it’s a major step in a direction that many of us have hoped for.

The new trailer also shows off the starters yet again. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly are featured with grass, fire, and water types respectively. In addition, we are introduced to our new friend and rival Nemona, who has three previously unseen Pokémon: electric mouse Pawmi, grass type Smoliv, and a little hog Pokémon with a truly meme-tastic name: Lechonk. Moreover, the trailer confirms what we’ve already known: some Pokémon from the older generations will be available in the new titles. How many? Only time will tell.

Pre-orders for the new games are opening today, so you can get your hands on the new titles ahead of time if you visit the Nintendo E-Shop. Pokémon hasn’t talked about any potential rewards for early pre-orders just yet, so keep an eye out for any possible goodies.
